Lipstick Queen invades the Airwaves
Our Lipstick Queen Poppy King was a busy bee last week – spreading the word about her hot new brand Lipstick Queen across the airwaves of Australia.
First up, we scooted over to the Austereo studios in Melbourne and met with everyone’s favourite comedy duo Hamish and Andy - pictured below with Poppy. We went behind the scenes with Poppy to find out what the boys are really like and how much they know about lipstick… They got a lesson from the Lipstick Queen on all things lips (such as the difference between a lipstick and a lipgloss!) and learnt a thing or two about the perfect pout. Andy even took up the challenge of a ‘Lipstick Taste Test’, where he taste tested a Lipstick Queen lipstick vs. an “inferior” brand sample on a Salada biscuit – Poppy’s Lipstick Queen won the test hands down and Andy gobbled it up! Yum?! (Taste-testing not recommended!!)
We then headed over to the Nova Studio in Richmond where Poppy met with the team at the Hughesy and Kate breakfast show. Kate Langbroek delved into Poppy’s passion and reminisced with her over the old Poppy range (Kate learned she can find some of her old favourite shades reinvented in the new Lipstick Queen range!). Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes showed Poppy a photo of himself in drag to get her opinion on his look in lipstick… she was very “interested” in his choice to match his lipstick to his jumper colour!
We had a great time on both shows – two of our favourite radio shows that are always being played at the Mail Order office here at kit… a very nice way to get through the early morning starts and late afternoons…
