Go behind the scenes with kit at Fashion Week
On Monday night, our kit creative team joined forces with world renowned makeup artist Linda Jeffreyes to create the hottest look for next season at Ellery’s ‘L’ Spring/Summer 08/09 Launch.
Ellery is the creative brain child of Kym Ellery, Market Editor of on-trend fashion magazine Russh. The show, held in the NSW State Art Gallery, was the third collection from Kym Ellery and was influenced by Helmut Newton, gold embellishments and the reign of Cleopatra, and the strong 90’s woman.
Focused on dressing the Ellery woman, who is confident and sexy, the Spring/ Summer 08/09 Collection has moved away from trends towards ‘pretty’ dressing, creating a bold signature aesthetic for an assertive and confident female.
This look was further enhanced by Linda Jefferyes for kit, creating a fresh 90’s makeup direction using kit cosmetics product. Jemma Kidd ‘Light As Air’ foundation was used to create a polished, clear skin look, with a dewy glow.
The eyebrows were strong and fierce, developed with Too Faced Brow Envy Kit and balanced by a splash of peachy colour on the lips by Scott Barnes Flossy Glossy in Whisper and highlighted with kit Lip Sheen.
Cheek highlights picked up off the bronze canvas of the skin adding glow with Scott Barnes St. Tropez Bronzer. The look was completed with kit nail polish in Go Getter.
